Build a Sublimation Gang Sheet

Dye Sublimation Gang Sheet Transfers let you maximize every square inch of your transfer paper by nesting multiple designs onto a single sheet — cutting your cost per print and keeping your workflow efficient. Unlike DTF transfers which bond ink to any fabric surface, sublimation transfers work by converting ink into gas that permanently bonds with polyester fibers, producing vivid, full-color prints that become part of the fabric itself — not a layer on top.

Compatible Materials

Dye sublimation transfers are designed for high-polyester-content substrates. Best results require:

  • 100% polyester or polyester-blend fabrics (80%+ poly recommended)
  • White or light-colored polyester apparel (darker fabrics will mute colors significantly)
  • Polyester-coated hard sublimation blanks: mugs, tumblers, phone cases, mousepads, ceramic tiles, aluminum panels, and more

Not recommended for cotton, linen, or other natural fibers — sublimation ink requires polyester molecules to bond with and will wash out of natural fabrics.

How to Apply — Heat Press Instructions

  1. Pre-press your substrate for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position the transfer printed side down on your substrate. Secure with heat-resistant tape if needed.
  3. Heat press settings: 385–400°F (196–204°C) | 45–60 seconds | Medium-to-firm pressure
  4. Peel hot — remove the transfer sheet immediately while still hot for the sharpest results.
  5. Allow to cool on a flat surface before handling or folding.

Note: Settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press, substrate thickness, and polyester content. Always test on a sample before a full production run.

Durability & Wash Care

Because the ink bonds permanently at a molecular level with polyester fibers, sublimation prints are highly durable — they won't crack, peel, or fade like screen-print or vinyl transfers. For best longevity:

  • Machine wash inside out on cold or warm (not hot)
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry
  • Do not iron directly on the print
  • Avoid bleach or harsh detergents

Ideal Use Cases

  • Custom polyester activewear, jerseys, and performance apparel
  • Sublimation blanks: mugs, tumblers, coasters, mouse pads, phone cases
  • Branded merchandise and corporate gifts on polyester-coated hard goods
  • Photo-realistic prints where fine detail and color vibrancy are essential
  • Gang sheet setups for small batch or on-demand production runs

⚠️ Do Not Mirror Images. Our sublimation transfers are printed press-ready. Upload your artwork as-is — mirroring is not required and will result in reversed text or designs.
